Admission to MCA Course offered by the different Government / Private Engineering Colleges, Universities and Institutions of the State of West Bengal during the academic session 2010-10 is open to candidates who are Indian citizens and who have either passed or are appearing in the Bachelor's degree final examination in any discipline from any recognized university with Mathematics and / or Statistics as one of the subjects in 10+2+3 pattern (except BBA) subject to the condition that they have to appear and qualify in the Written Test to be conducted by the "West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board."

The written test (consisting of two parts- Part-A: Mathematics; Part-B: Aptitude Test ) will be held on SUNDAY,24th June, 2012 from 12 noon to 2-30 p.m. at specified centres.
This admission to MCA course will be governed by the reservation policy of the State Government. There is no restriction regarding age of the candidates.

Application : Candidates intending to appear in the said Joint Entrance Examination (JECA- 2012) shall have to apply in the prescribed form which will be available (along with Information Brochure) during the period 1st Week of May 2012 to End of May 2012 from the Branches of UNITED BANK OF INDIA at Burdwan (Station Rd. Br.), Berhampur, Bolpur, Chinsurah, Durgapur, Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Kalyani, Kharagpur, Malda, Purulia, Siliguri, Tamluk and at Kolkata ? College Street, Jadavpur, Hatibagan, Salt Lake (Mayuk Bhavan) on all working days including Saturday on payment of Rs. 400.00 (Expected) only in CASH. Application form once purchased cannot be returned or replaced.

The forms may also be obtained from the Office of the BOARD through Postal request only by sending a Demand Draft of Rs. 400/- (four hundred) in favour of 'West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board' payable at Kolkata / Howrah along with a self-addressed envelope (26 cm x 13 cm) affixing postal stamp of Rs. 50/- so as to reach West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board, AQ-13/1, Sector ? V, Salt Lake City, Kolkata? 700 091 on or before 18.05.2010. The Application From may also be obtained from the Board's Office only on payment of a late fee of Rs. 50/- (Rupees fifty only) in addition to the actual cost of the form. The whole amount (i.e. Rs.450/-) is to be paid through a Bank Draft to be drawn in favour of "West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board" payable at Kolkata / Howrah from  1st Week of May 2012 to End of May 2012. The application form once purchased cannot be returned or replaced.
Submission : The duly filled in application form has to be sent by Speed Post only, addressed to the Member Secretary, West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board, AQ-13/1, Sector ? V, Salt Lake City, Kolkata ? 700 091 so as to reach the Office of the Board by End of May. There is no provision for receiving of Application Form by hand at Board's Office.

Kerala Entrance Examinations for Admission to Master of Computer Applications

Kerala Entrance Exam for MCA is an entrance test for admission in various institutes in Kerala for three year MCA course. KEE MCA is organized by Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE). Candidates can get admission to 31 institutes in Kerala including 3 Government Institutions, 2 aided institutes, 23 Private Self Financing Institutes and 3 self financing institutes under Government control through this test. Application Form : Candidates may download the Application Form. After completing the form, send it to the Admissions Officer along with a demand draft. The form can also be obtained from the counter or by the post. The filled KEE MCA Entrance 2012 application forms should be sent by post to the institute office. Applicants who have completed their graduation on a one-time sitting basis or on a 2-year basis are not eligible for admission to the MCA Program. Although the only specific requirement for admission is a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, the admissions committee seeks to admit a mix of applicants who bring unique contributions from their diverse backgrounds and experiences and who collectively enrich the educational experience. Students in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements including practical examinations/ viva/ assignments by July . Such applicants will have to produce a certificate to that effect at the time of admission. For any extension of this deadline, the applicants should apply separately, giving the schedule of their graduation examination. Extension may be granted on the basis of the circumstances of the case. The admission of applicants will, however, remain provisional until they produce marksheets and a degree certificate establishing their eligibility.

For admission to the MCA programme of Delhi University candidates need to pass the Bachelor's Degree/Masters degree with at least 60% (55% for reserved category students) marks in aggregate. It is also necessary for them to have one paper in Mathematics and another in Computer Science/Statistics/Operational research/Mathematics.

Admission Procedure for M.Sc. (Computer Science & MCA):-  

   (a)50% of the seats are filled on the basis of merit in the B.Sc.(H) Computer Science Examinations. Only those students who have filled the application form and secured at least 60% marks in B.Sc.(H) Computer Science examination of  University of Delhi are eligible for consideration under this category.

   (b)  The admission for the remaining 50% seats in the M.Sc. Computer Science course is based on Entrance Test. 

            Eligibility conditions are as follows:  

                (1)     B.Sc.  (H)  Computer  Science  (10+2+3  scheme)  from  University  of  Delhi  or  any  other  University  whose  examination  is recognized as equivalent to University of Delhi, with 60% marks in aggregate.  

               (2)     B.Sc. Applied Physical Sciences with Mathematics and Computer Science/B.Sc. (General) Mathematical Sciences (10+2+3 scheme)  with Mathematics and Computer Science from University of Delhi. 60% marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in Computer Science and Mathematics separately.  

 

              (3)     Any Bachelor’s Degree of University of Delhi with at least six papers in Computer Science and two papers in Mathematics under   semester   system/at   least   four   paper   in   Computer   Science   and   one   paper   in   Mathematics under annual Examination system. 60% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in Computer Science and Mathematics separately.  

               *(4)  Any  Bachelor’s  Degree  with  at  least  six  papers  in  Computer  Science  and  two  papers  in  Mathematics  under  semester system/at least four paper in Computer Science and one paper in Mathematics under annual Examination system. 60% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in Computer Science and Mathematics separately. 

                The Candidates who are appearing in the final year examination of the degree on the basis of which admission is sought are also eligible to apply.  

Bulletin  of  Information  alongwith  the  application  form  can  be  obtained  from  the  Department  between  9.30  A.M.  to 12.30 P.M. and 2.30 P.M. to 3.30 P.M. against Bank Draft of Rs.400/- for SC/ST and Rs.800/- for others; drawn in favour ofthe Registrar, University of Delhi and payable at New Delhi.  

For obtaining the bulletin and application form by post, the bank draft alongwith a self addressed stamped (worth Rs.30/-)    envelope  (size  10"x7")  should  be  sent  to  Office–Incharge,  Room  No.113,  Department  of  Computer  Science,  Faculty  of  Mathematical  Sciences,  University  of  Delhi,  Delhi-110007.    The  Department  will  not  be  responsible  for  any  postal  loss/delay.

BITS-MCA 2012 Eligibility

Those who have a recognized bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum in 10+2+3 system) in BCA or B.Sc in Computer Application/ Information Technology/Electronics or B.Sc. /B.A with Mathematics or Statistics at graduate level are eligible to apply for BIT Mesra MCA Entrance Test 2012. The B.Sc. /B.A. (honors) candidates must have minimum 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in their honors subject. Candidates of other courses need to have 60 %( 50% for SC/ST) marks in average in graduation.
