DU-MCA 2012 Eligibility

For admission to the MCA programme of Delhi University candidates need to pass the Bachelor's Degree/Masters degree with at least 60% (55% for reserved category students) marks in aggregate. It is also necessary for them to have one paper in Mathematics and another in Computer Science/Statistics/Operational research/Mathematics.

Admission Procedure for M.Sc. (Computer Science & MCA):-  
   (a)50% of the seats are filled on the basis of merit in the B.Sc.(H) Computer Science Examinations. Only those students who have filled the application form and secured at least 60% marks in B.Sc.(H) Computer Science examination of  University of Delhi are eligible for consideration under this category.
   (b)  The admission for the remaining 50% seats in the M.Sc. Computer Science course is based on Entrance Test. 

            Eligibility conditions are as follows:  
                (1)     B.Sc.  (H)  Computer  Science  (10+2+3  scheme)  from  University  of  Delhi  or  any  other  University  whose  examination  is recognized as equivalent to University of Delhi, with 60% marks in aggregate.  

               (2)     B.Sc. Applied Physical Sciences with Mathematics and Computer Science/B.Sc. (General) Mathematical Sciences (10+2+3 scheme)  with Mathematics and Computer Science from University of Delhi. 60% marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in Computer Science and Mathematics separately.  
 
              (3)     Any Bachelor’s Degree of University of Delhi with at least six papers in Computer Science and two papers in Mathematics under   semester   system/at   least   four   paper   in   Computer   Science   and   one   paper   in   Mathematics under annual Examination system. 60% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in Computer Science and Mathematics separately.  
               *(4)  Any  Bachelor’s  Degree  with  at  least  six  papers  in  Computer  Science  and  two  papers  in  Mathematics  under  semester system/at least four paper in Computer Science and one paper in Mathematics under annual Examination system. 60% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in Computer Science and Mathematics separately. 
                The Candidates who are appearing in the final year examination of the degree on the basis of which admission is sought are also eligible to apply.  
Bulletin  of  Information  alongwith  the  application  form  can  be  obtained  from  the  Department  between  9.30  A.M.  to 12.30 P.M. and 2.30 P.M. to 3.30 P.M. against Bank Draft of Rs.400/- for SC/ST and Rs.800/- for others; drawn in favour ofthe Registrar, University of Delhi and payable at New Delhi.  

For obtaining the bulletin and application form by post, the bank draft alongwith a self addressed stamped (worth Rs.30/-)    envelope  (size  10"x7")  should  be  sent  to  Office–Incharge,  Room  No.113,  Department  of  Computer  Science,  Faculty  of  Mathematical  Sciences,  University  of  Delhi,  Delhi-110007.    The  Department  will  not  be  responsible  for  any  postal  loss/delay.                 
 Note:  SC/ST Candidates shall be allowed relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.                *  Subject to approval from the competent authority.
