Selection Procedure::

Admission will be on the basis of a Joint Entrance Examination (JECA) conducted by the West Bengal Board of Examinations for Admission to Engineering, Medical and Technological Degree Colleges, as per notices issued by the said Board. Admission forms for Jadavpur University will be issued only to JECA-qualified candidates. Such candidates will have to appear at an interview along with the admission form duly filled in. The date and venue of the interview will be notified by the University immediately after publication of the JECA results.

Candidates who have appeared at the qualifying (Bachelors level) examination but are awaiting their results may also apply and appear at the interview. If selected, such candidates will be admitted provisionally. They shall have to submit valid proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the required percentage of marks within three months of commencement of First Year First Semester classes, failing which their provisional admission will be cancelled.

Eligibility Criteria::

Graduates having Honours or equivalent degree under (10+2+3) system with Mathematics/Computer Sc/Business Mathematics as one of the combination subjects at the degree level and having at least 60% marks in the Honours subject and 60% in agreegate in case of general or BCA./B.E/B.Tech degree holders with at least 60% marks in aggregate are eligible for admission.
